I emailed the people developing Cups and Cones and got this email response.

We are planning to open Cups & Cones the middle of October and will offer coffees and teas, ice cream, pastries and pies. We’re also working toward birthday parties, in partnership with other businesses in the area, and to hosting art exhibits for our area LISD schools. Presently, River Place Elementary student art is planned for display during October/November and I hope to have other schools lined up as well. Last week we sponsored the first PTA meeting of the school year at Laura Bush Elementary and last month we co-sponsored the inaugural open house at River Place with Blue Bell Creameries. We are intent on supporting our communities and welcome additional opportunities to do so.

Looks pretty good. Hopefully a better alternative to Delicatio Creamery. This place is going to join the suddenly hopping Shops at Steiner Ranch.
