Thanks to bshelton in the comments section about High Pointe Village for these two links. From reading the articles it seems like The Venue at Lake Travis will still happen, but in an alternate place. I don’t see why they can not do it accross the road from HEB and Taco Cabana. There is a light there already that dead ends from Four Points Dr into 620. Nothing is really on that corner of 620 and 2222 yet besides a gas station and some small business that look like they could move easily. I hope this happens still as the plan looked pretty interesting.
Speaking of small “mobile” business, does anyone know what happened to the antique shop between Wells Fargo and BBQ Outfitters. I think during the warmer months there was a longhorn you could take pictures with. After that antique shop closed down, I thought there would be a non mobile business there that would carve out a little place there. I now see a business that popped up and sells tiles. Interesting… Of course I do love the slushie place in that area. If nothing else it is where the police hang out while you get in the turn lane to 2222 too early.

Near the end I recall they had a “lost our lease” sign up

My hubby & I stopped by that shop…it was actually a custom furniture shop which specialized in teak items. The guy was super nice and explained that they were simply closing, yet he was still going to sell his items at a different location. Guy with the longhorn (who we also talked to) isn’t related to the shop or the owner and simply parked there to drum up business for them both. I think he sets up across the street now.

Tiles with Style opened up where the Longhorn used to be. I know people who have used them. Great prices and selection.
