Agreed. From what I hear, the land values are way too high. Current non-franchises have been holding the land for many years. Newcomers can’t justify opening on their own. We will start seeing more as more shopping strips pop up. I myself would not mind having an Einstein Bagels store at that corner. And a Vietnamese Pho place … ; )

A movie theatre *would* be nice – hubby and I hardly ever make it out to movies anymore just b/c it really isn’t very convenient. I am also surprised a Chuy’s hasn’t come out here yet… can you imagine how they could mint money just with Steiner and Riverplace?!

I agree! We need more casual dining options and we are seriously lacking in the tex-mex around here. A movie theatre would be great as well. I know it will affect the traffic, but I think the trade off will be worth it.
