Couple of site news items.
1. Link Request: I want to create a list of blogs/websites of readers of this blog or that live in Steiner Ranch. So if you fall in that category send me an email or leave a comment on this post. I am not limiting this list, so if you own a business send me an email too, I want to eventually create a directory but will start with non-business websites/blogs first. I hope having one central place for these links will be a useful benefit of this site.
2. Comment Moderation: Yeah so some idiots made some comments that were not apporpriate on Monday night and I was at a friends place for dinner… and I could not delete them till I got home. So two solutions to this problem would be for someone to buy me an iPhone so I could delete them when I am not near my computer or enable comment moderation. Since the first option has not happened yet, I will go with the second option. If you make a comment and I have not approved one of your comments before there will be a delay till it goes live. So no the software is not broken, it just means the comment is not approved yet. Users that post a lot will not notice the difference, others who post for the first time will notice it once. People that want to leave stupid comments will notice that they can not make their stupid comments.
3. User Registration
To help with Comment Moderation you can create an account here or if you created one on the forums you can log in here. With user registration your email is not displayed anywhere except that I can see. I won’t sell it or anything like that. The software needs an email address to make sure you are a real person after that once you login it just works. If you have trouble creating an account or password issues email me and I can solve that.

First, it would be a lot easier to use the site if it allowed you to create your own password. I don’t have my computer save mypasswords so I always have to hunt for the password for this site.
Second, with as much traffic as this site gets, I’d bet that you’ve made anough with your Google advertisements to afford an Iphone.

Good ideas Mahesh, to help with the less-than-constructive comments that have a way of showing up here. Besides, you need to be able to take a break periodically w/o having to monitor this site on an iPhone.

anon… I can install a plugin to fix the password issue…
I’m on my way there on the iPhone… just needs to be more consistent.

As Steiner Residents, none of us can afford to have idiotic comments on this board. When people google Steiner Ranch, this site comes up. It’s bad enough that potential home buyers will have to read about the murder, we don’t want a few knuckleheads to ruin the reputation of such an amazing community with their stupidity.
