    Went to the meeting at River Ridge Elementary. Blown out of proportion… Nothing to see here… no “attempted” abductions. Just people who are afraid of their own shadow…

    I wasn’t able to attend the session with the sheriff’s department tonight due to my son’s soccer game. I was hoping that someone who attended could report on what was said. I am especially interested in hearing what the sheriff had to say about the attempted abductions of the female runners, as I run at night myself.

    Bryan-Thanks for the info. I would really like to hear first-hand from the two runners who were involved in these incidents. For the safety of others in the neighborhood, I wish they would post something about what happened and describe the men/vehicles involved in the incidents in more detail.

    I would also be interested in hearing what the Sheriff’s office had to say about the incidents at the meeting as well. If anyone would like to share some details that would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

    @joanna: call them

    @clb: The one incident where the girl was approached by a man ended up being that the guy was looking for a party in the area. It was investigated, and the police found the party and the gentlemen was at it. The other incident was with the jogger. She was jogging, by herself, on a road, at night, and a truck was driving down the road. She freaked out, and got scared and ran towards the wag-a-bag. Again, there was no “white truck” and no “man chasing her.”

    So you have an attention whore, and a girl who blew a story out of porportion.

    If you have questions, you can call Mr. Taylor and speak with him, I’m sure…

    Regardless of the circumstances, your comments are extremely rude and, frankly, slanderous. Feel free to report the facts, but your editorializing is unwanted.
