It’s pretty apparent that the folks at Lakeside have started getting an attitude about families with kids. We went there the other day to order take out, and our kids were with us. The hostess told us to go to the bar to order. We walked up to the bar, and before we even said anything the bartender rudely said “your kids can’t sit here”. My kids weren’t yelling or screaming or running. I would never allow that. We were just ordering take out…We left.

A few years ago we really enjoyed going there, but after a few episodes of exceptionally bad service, we haven’t gone back. I don’t care how busy you are, if it takes 15+ minutes to get a basket of stale bread tossed on your table with a grunt and no drink orders taken, and blown off by the server 2-3 times, it’s simply unacceptable.

All 3 schools in Steiner also have recycling dumpsters on site.

I also wish we had paper recycling in a convenient location, but until we do there are many of the “Paper Retriever” recyclers around town. They are brightly painted (green and yellow) dumpsters that take paper, magazines, newspaper, cardboard (broken down), etc… extremely convenient, and it also helps raise money for non-profits.

Re: other breakfast ideas, Delicato up the street does some good breakfast items - empanadas, Belgian waffles with fresh fruit, etc… just another breakfast option! (They also have great banana bread…)

Obviously, I’ll be glad to have the school as well (my son will go there in a few years).

In response to WHATEVER’s comments, who seems to be posting after drinking based upon the comments I’ve seen him make on other threads, my daughter goes to CPHS now, and actually it’s a good school and the kids there really like it. Maybe you should find out what you are talking about before you post.

I think he’s referring to the fact that no children under 14 are allowed in without a parent. This is something new they just started due to some sort of theft or vandalism.
