There is no soliciting in Steiner Ranch – or so says the big green sign at the entrance of the neighborhood. Unfortunately, business don’t read this, or they just don’t care. It seems like lately I get a knock at my door 3-4 nights a week – always during dinner, dinner prep, or the kid’s bedtime. It’s extremely intrusive and aggravating (and sometimes scary)! As residents, if we want this to stop, we need to stop purchasing from them!
But these guys can be clever! They show up in long sleeves, dress pants, and a tie in the 103 degree heat – you feel sorry for them, and next thing you know, you’re listening to their spiel…”Two free rooms of carpet cleaning – a $400 value! We’re just trying to expand into the Steiner market and hope you’ll call us next time you need your carpets cleaned…” Who doesn’t want free carpet cleaning, right?? Even I fell for this one over the weekend. BEWARE of Absolute K! These guys are Kirby vacuum Cleaner salesmen! You will not get your carpets cleaned. They will come in and waste an hour of your time, showing you their vacuum cleaner, and turn on the high pressure sales pitch.
