A Community Meeting to discuss pending commercial development in Steiner Ranch is set for Wed. Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s on the Lake Episcopal Church.
Developers of the proposed Steiner Ranch Apartment project and the proposed storage facility will talk about their plans and address questions, said Sarah Crocker, of Crocker Consultants and the authorized agent working for both developers on the two different projects.
The Steiner Ranch Apartment project hopes to break ground in early 2012 pending approvals. Greystone Steiner Associates plans to develop 26 apartment buildings with 298 units on a portion of the the 52 acres at 4800 Steiner Ranch Blvd.
In a separate project, a contract is pending for a new 100,000-square-foot storage facility to be built on a lot across from Quinlan Crossing. Taylor Woodrow Communities/Steiner Ranch LLC is seeking to subdivide 4807 N. Quinlan Park Rd. They want to subdivide the 81 acre tract into four lots.

Last night’s Community Meeting on Steiner Ranch Commercial Development had about 60 people attend at St. Luke’s on the Lake Episcopal Church.
Developers said there will likely be more apartments going into Steiner Ranch in addition to the 298 units that will break ground in early 2012.
Walter Eeds, CEO with Greystone Development, is the developer for the Steiner Ranch apartments project. He said, “We want to be good neighbors.”
Other concerns brought up at the meeting include increased traffic and the expected overcrowding in Steiner schools once the new apartments fill.
Developers presented current plans and conceptual plans. One of the conceptual plans includes a hotel across from Quinlan Crossing. Another conceptual plan includes a restaurant at the Steiner Ranch Boulevard entrance off of 620.
A group is forming that includes a handful of residents and the developers who will meet and discuss concerns and future planning.
