MU-14 rezoning passes by consent agenda last night; recommendation includes negotiated revisions to ease fears of Steiner Ranch residents

MU 14 Investments’ (Taylor Woodrow Communities) request for rezoning the Steiner Ranch tract located at 4925 ½ N. Quinlan Park Road, Bear Creek West Watershed, passed unanimously by consent agenda of the City of Austin Zoning and Platting Commission yesterday. However, less than 24 hours ago, an agreement was reached between the SRNA’s Brian Thompto, Cindy Thompson and Greg Milligan and Taylor Woodrow, represented by VP Adib Khoury and agent Sarah Crocker, following extended talks and a petition which circulated throughout the Four Points community last weekend. Specifically, the zoning request which is set to be reviewed by City Council later this month limits the density of the tract to only 54 units, prohibits multi-family structures and ensures that only townhomes and duplexes will be built on the property.
