I read this link this weekend and wondered what people thought. It seems like a random thing to throw in one neighborhood in all of Austin as the one with a long commute time to Austin.
The attic isn’t finished, but it could be converted into an additional living space. In all, the house is just less than 3,400 square feet, according to tax records.
Most of the people looking at the house have been families who live in Steiner Ranch or other subdivisions with long commute times to Austin, said Kay Keesee, the agent with the listing.
“People have been coming back to the center of Austin and looking for the kind of space that they have in suburban houses,” said Keesee. “And it is rare to have this kind of space in move-in condition in the central part of town.”
The asking price is $949,000.
What do you think? Are people really looking to move out of Steiner Ranch because of the long commute with high gas prices?
