Hiking and Biking
Steiner Ranch was planned as an active community, with nature conservation a large part of the design. We have over 20 miles of hike and bike trails from end to end, connecting all 43 neighborhoods. All of our community members can an enjoy a morning jog, a friendly bike ride or an evening stroll with the family in a beautiful and natural setting only steps away from their front doors.
Lake Austin Access
We are the land between the lakes after all, so what would be the point if we did not offer our community members lake access? All Steiner Ranch residents have access to Lake Austin via the Lake Club. This waterfront access point is exclusive to Steiner Ranch residents.
The waterfront landscape where the lake access is pristine and peaceful. You are away from highways and Lake Austin is much quieter than Lake Travis. Right next door is the Lake Austin Spa Resort, voted the number 1 destination spa by Condé Nast in 2011.
Lake Travis Access
Take a left out of the Steiner Ranch community, drive about a mile and go across the dam . As soon as you cross the dam, take the first right that you come to and that road will take you to one of the few public access boat ramps on Lake Travis. Be careful though, this is a very popular drop off point, and we recommend getting their as early as you can and have everything ready to launch before you start trying to back down the ramp.
Or, if you don’t have a boat, head to Just for Fun in Hudson Bend, only a few minutes further down the road. Look for the signs for Carlos and Charlie’s and Just for Fun. They have boat, jet ski and water sport rental equipment.
Sports Amenities
Every week in Steiner Ranch, more than 150 groups and teams practice and play on the three multi-purpose sports fields located inside our community. We also have three community centers with basketball and tennis courts and swimming pools for both competitive and recreational use.
