Tutto Gusto

The best (and only?) restaurant in Steiner Ranch. It serves Italian food in a family oriented atmosphere evidenced by the huge children’s playscape situated outside adjacent to the main seating area. I went there and we had a good meal, although it took a while to get our food with a large party that ordered before us. The manager did stop by and apologize and gave us a free dessert. They also have a nice bar and a decent wine selection. I will try to scan one of their menus sometime soon.

Here is a blurb from Austin360.com

While the Domain and downtown have dominated much of the recent new restaurant hurrah, Tutto Gusto has opened to packed tables in the Steiner Ranch area near Lake Travis. This family-friendly eatery is the work of veteran Brick Oven and Siena restaurateurs Debbie and Stan Adams and chef Harvey Harris. Tutto Gusto, 4300 Quinlan Park Road Suite 100, 266-2221, has a playscape, 100 seats indoors and 28 outside. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays).

Try walnut chicken and antipasto misto at Tutto Gusto, near Lake Travis.

Tutto Gusto means “taste everything with enthusiasm,” Harris says, and his menu ranges from pizzas to pastas and salmon to walnut chicken parmigiana. (Fans of Mezzaluna, where Harris previously cooked, will be pleased that he’s brought back the late downtown restaurant’s fusilli della nonna.) Phil Williams, who was sous chef at Siena for five years and has been cooking with Harris since Mezzaluna, is the chef de cuisine at Tutto Gusto. Harris is executive chef and will remain in the same position at Siena, which he opened in 2000.
