Got a review from a reader. What do other people think of the place? I ate at the Barton Springs location and the food wasn’t that great.
We are Steiner residents. Tried Uncle Billy’s Brew and Que at the Oasis on Friday. Early review – same great view as the Oasis, but better food. The place is nicely built-out, servers were friendly. The place was almost empty at 6:00, but I imagine part of it is that not many people know it’s open yet. I won’t say it is the best BBQ I’ve ever had, but it was good (we tried several things), and the beer was very good. I’ll put it this way – I can now take out-of-towners to get the view and not have to apologize for bad, over-priced food. We will go back.
